Ode To A Fruit So Pale

Fruit of yellow

Tastes so mellow

It’s very ap-pealing to me.

So fun to spell, and it goes quite well in pudding,

or cream pie.

Try one sliced – it’s oh so nice

topping cereal, or ice-

cream splits (and it’s great on a Sundae too!)

Try one and see –

I think you’ll agree –

bananas are a fruit for you!

  1. And a good source of potassium too if you have leg cramps regularly :-), though I’m not too sure about sandwiches with them in.
I’ve often thought about the first person to eat things, like bananas and cheeses with the mould growing in them.. and frogs legs and snails… just how hungry would you have to be to try one of them out?
Best read in a french accent…
Picture the scenario, two french peasants sitting by the walls of Paris
    ” Eh, Pierre”
    “What mon ami ? ”
“Eh Pierre, I’m awful ‘ungree , and we ‘ave nothing to eat.. what do you suggest we do? ”
” We could try and eat one of those over there!
    ” what..are you mad that’s a FROG! sod off!!”
” ok ok, ‘ow about of of these? ”
” Snails!!! Non Pierre, we would never get it out of ze shell 😦 ”
who had the first bite, who was so hungry that they decided to cook and EAT a frog or worse a snail… it doesn’t bear thinking about 🙂
    Great pioneers of hungry fools?
I’ve tasted Frogs legs, they are like chicken , but I draw the line at eating snails, ughhh 😦
How desperate would I have to be???
    love n hugs

    1. Nick, you do know that many cultures eat bugs, right? Hee, hee. I’ve had frogs legs, but never snails. I have had calamari though – are squid anything like snails? Happy New Year! 🙂
